Christmas Eve Let Down

Coming home after a stodgy dinner with the family that was full with extremely loud music and bland conversation, I was greeted with a huge Louis Vuitton shopping bag. I thought this was my moment. The day I would finally possess the classic speedy bag! My parents built up the suspense by fixing up the coffee and the peppermint ice cream, which felt like hours although it was only minutes. My brother and I finally sat down. I was given the huge shopping bag, I almost cried at the sight of the box, I opened it and it was a book. It was not the cherished Louis Vuitton bag I have wanted since I was twelve, it was a coffee table book. And yes it was limited edition but the let down was unbearable. Being the classy girl I am, I faked a smile screamed with a fake sense of joy and hugged my parents. 

As you can see it's a very beautiful book. The intentions were great and it was meant for my bookshelf where it sits at this moment.

Even though the let down was a saddening event, as it would be for any young woman of this erra, I did manage to receive some very wonderful gifts. 

I got the Brandy Melville backpack I've had my eye on for months. Tory Burch earrings that bring me back to my equestrian days, and 6 Nars lip glosses. 

The horse earrings I'm not so sure about. They might be too loud for my taste.

All in all, it was a very magical christmas and I enjoyed it, even though there was a let down.

So should I keep the earrings or return them? What do you think of my new items?
